Kirby’s Nursery

November 25, 2011

Hello to all my amazing clients & fans! I really hope I can blog more once business slows down and baby gets here! I wish I would have kept everyone updated more throughout my pregnancy! But I didn’t! I was busy, busy, busy!!! So here is an update. I am a little over 38 weeks pregnant! I cannot believe that next WEEK is DECEMBER! Where has the year gone? My husband will be home from deployment for a whole year in January! This blows my mind! but what an exciting year this had been. After getting pregnant in March I started to thoroughly plan out my ideas for the nursery boy or girl! i knew the  walls would stay the current brown. I knew there would be yellow involved! I knew it had to be perfect for our little peanut!

Obviously weeks later we found out we were expecting a little girl! Our Sweet Princess Kirby Jane

Here’s an update on my growing belly and a look into her Nursery!

I am incredibly blessed with the sweetest most hardworking man I could have ever dreamed of having! Kirby is such a lucky little girl to have a daddy like Troy! He did all the wood working in the room! It was such a interesting project to take on with his 8 month pregnant wife! We will leave it at that. lol

Any one notice that absolutely GORGEOUS yellow dresser yet? I always knew I wanted a yellow dresser in the room! BOY or GIRL I was convinced it would be the perfect accent! My best friend Liz made my dream come true and so much more with this retro dresser that she painted for me! Check her blog & shop out at www.lizmarieblog.com

Liz & Jose are all over my website and here they are again! It was time to update the photos since he just got home from deployment. They are so easy to photograph and you can truly feel the love between them. Jose grew up playing baseball so I thought it would be fun to bring that into our shoot. Enjoy :)

Happy Anniversary to me :)

September 1, 2009

Ok so it’s a little early!! Our 2 year wedding anniversary is tomorrow. But seeing as you can’t always plan for the best with the Marine Corps my husband has 24 duty on our anniversary! So today he suprised me and took me on a plane ride :) I know!!! he is amazing! I can’t believe how lucky I am to have him! He really makes me feel like I’m right where I belong. Sorry! I’m so gah gah but this is the one day out of the year I’m allowed to be.

Our plane ride was an hour long and flew all over the coast. We flew over the beach and Fort Macon and Cape Lookout. We even flew over an island with wild horses! It was beautiful!

Anyways, Happy Anniversary Baby! I couldn’t imagine life without you <3

As most of my followers know, I am a military wife. I know, I know I don’t talk about my amazing hubby at all do I! ha ha Anyways, My husband and I are coming up on our 2 year wedding anniversary! It seriously blows my mind thinking about everything we have been through and seen and done over the past two years. We have grown so much as a couple and as individuals as well. blah blah blah I could ramble on about how wonderful he is all day long.

My husband is a Marine and that led us to be stationed at Cherry Point Marine Corps Air Station back in January. I am so thankful that we are here and that I have made some wonderful friends. One in particular I had to find a special way to thank. Christina had mentioned wanting some updating photos of her for her husband,  a special gift for her to give to him. So this would be my gift to her, although I don’t anything could repay her for what she has given me. She has given me a friend that I can always count on and who is there no matter what. Christina and I have only known each other for a few months but it certainly feels like she has been a friend forever. It’s hard when you move a lot and you are in a completely new environment to find friends who you can trust and who you feel completely comfortable with. So all I can say is Thank you Christina, for making me feel like we have been friends for 20 years. I hope we will be for 50 more!
So here goes…

The absolutely gorgeous Christina.

I honestly couldn’t pick a favorite! I love them all!

Trying to cope

May 23, 2009

This post is going to be about a huge loss that I recently experienced but also a beautiful new thing in my life.

I am going to try making it through this post in one setting, but there are no garuntees. First of all I apologize to all my blog readers for being so out of the loop! I have no posted in over two weeks and I am pretty behind on editing!  Thank you so much to all of my amazing clients for hanging in there during this difficult time for me.

On Thursday May 7th I got the phone call that made my world come crashing down. Now I know I don’t always get personal on this blog but I thought this might be a good way for you to all get to know me.  I recieved the phone call from me brother and I was at a friends house so I was almost hestitant to answer.  We don’t talk everyday or anything so usually when we do its a long conversation. For some reason I felt the need to answer this phone call. So I did, and in some ways I am glad I did and in every way I wish the phone has never rang that day. My Uncle Dutch had passed away, well his name was Kenny, but somewhere down the road he became my uncle dutch. My brother heard dutch somewhere and began calling him it. We had called him that for years! I didn’t know him as anything else. I know a lot of people don’t have a close relationship with their uncle. I don’t exactly know how to put our relationship into words. I grew up with one grandmother. That was it, she was 70-something when I was born and we were close but what I had with my Aunt Jill & Uncle Dutch was unexplainable. They were like my grandparents, or maybe like a second set of parents. I mean I was an incredibly lucky child! I had two set on unbelievably influential people in my life.  My parents and them. My brother and I started staying the night there at a very young age, my mom says sometimes we wouldn’t want to come home! We had so much fun with them and they mean the world to us. They have shown me the world and play a huge part in the woman I am today. My Uncle Dutch was a Southern Baptist Ordained Deacon and his wife (my aunt) was a sunday school teacher at our church for many years. It was them who taught me to love god and embrace my faith in him throughout life. I don’t think a million thanks would be enough for all they have done for me.  Even now as a married women who supports her self lives 700 miles away from her family, they found a way to be there no matter what. They paid for my wedding dress and sent my husband and I on a unbelievable honeymoon. They are just remarkable people and that’s the best word I can think of to describe them. On top of all of that there marriage was an inspiration, I have never seen two people connect the way they did. I am sure it came with 46 years of marriage but Troy and I will continue to push and fight for a marriage like there’s. They had that once in a lifetime souldmate love that everyone around you can see and feel.

I don’t know that I will ever meet anyone as loving, genuine or giving as the two of them. I hope in some way this tiny bit about them can explain my hurt and pain from losing him. He was a huge part of my life and will continue to be as he watches over our entire family. I can’t wait until the day I can see you again Uncle Dutch. I am forever grateful for just having you in my life. I love you…Rest in Peace, you will be incredibly missed.

Although these past two weeks have been the hardest of my life. I am proud to say that I am a new AUNT!  to a beautiful baby girl.  Kadence Rose Orange was born on April 22,2009 in Beaufort,SC.  She is quite possibly the cutest thing I have ever seen. She brings new life to our family and she has us all wrapped around her tiny little finger.  Watching my brother as a father is a new thing for me but I absolutely love it! He is ate up with her and she is their world. Which is exactly as she should be, Kyle and Aubrey will make amazing parents and Kady will grow up to a be a stunning young women. I can’t wait to watch her learn and grow!!! Here are some photos I snapped of her of the past couple of weeks.
