October 2, 2010Cassie surely deserves a story too. Unfortunetly, I am exhausted from an insane work week and lack of sleep!
All I need to say is that she is an extraordinary women and it was an honor being there to capture her husband’s homecoming
Here they come!
It was kind of funny! They were supposed to come in and get in formation and wait until dismissed to find there families….Well lets just say one wife couldn’t control it so they all just started running!! I chased Cassie down as she leaped into his arms
I love how she grabbed his cheeks and layed one on him!! to sweet!
Mom welcoming him home & taking everything in.
I love how much he adores Cassie. From the moment he had her in his arms he didn’t let go. They were sneaking in some more lovin!

October 2, 2010Where do I even begin.
I just met Tana for the first time last week and I feel like I have known her for a lifetime. She is one of the sweetest, kindest and caring people I have ever met. Her happiness and love her for her life just radiates from her. I have never met a stronger women at such a young age.
I struggled with how I would write this post giving Tana the story she deserved. I wanted you all to hear the story the way I did. Tana just booked me for this homecoming about a month ago and we became facebook friends a couple of months ago. I did not know her pregnant and I did not know her with Jesse. I just knew of her as Tana & Sawyer waiting patiently and positively for Jesse to come home.
I guess I should introduce Sawyer. He is her adorable 6.5 month old baby boy. She gave birth to him very soon after Jesse left. She learned to be a mother and have a deployed husband all at the same time. I can’t even imagine the stress of that. Seeing as my husband is deployed and that seems painful enough, but she handled it beautifully!
I quickly realized after meeting Tana “via facebook” how positive she was about all this …and some how even by her words you could tell that it was true and there was nothing fake about it and it wasn’t a cover-up. She was really and truly this strong and positive women. I believe that is where her FAN CLUB came in.
Yes Tana has a fan club. Which is why I decided she needed a full page spread on the blog ! I mean how could she not have a fan club! Her posts could make anyone smile and we were all rooting for this day to finally come!
It was an amazing experience being a part of Tana’s Homecoming. Im so glad that she chose me to document it and Im so glad that her and Jesse and Sawyer can finally be a family.
Congrats Tana ,I can’t think of anyone who deserves that happiness more than you.
So here begins the story….
Its was a cold and rainy day but Tana & Sawyer were happier than ever! Look at those eyes! isnt he precious!
Its almost showtime!! The excitement begins!!!
Waiting to meet his daddy
Here they come!
I do believe he spotted his pretty girl!
I loved this! They were lifted Sawyer up to show his daddy! I don’t really know how you could contain yourself at that point! Staring at your beautiful baby boy you had never met not being able to just run and grab him!
Finally
They let them go! and Tana & Jesse were reunited! oh my gosh! I Cried in this very moment!
And Finally he meets his baby boy
He was a natural at being a daddy! I Love how Tana is just gazing at the sight of the love of her life with their son in his hands. That has to be an amazing feeling.
That is one proud PAPA!
Tana was so at peace to have her family together.
I imagine Sawyer saying “So your my daddy huh,I think I like you” hahahha he is sooo precious!
I’d say Tana & Sawyer are pretty happy to have daddy home. Wouldnt you?

March 12, 2010A couple months ago I randomly met Brandy! I thought she was the sweetest person. The way she talked about her husband(who was deployed at the time) and her children, I could just tell she loved her life and everyone in it! It was long after we met that I had the opprotunity to photograph her husbands homecoming! Brandy wanted this day captured for so many reasons but mostly because it was the day he would meet his son
You can’t make memories better than that people!
Every time someone asks me if its hard being a military wife or if I hate it when he is gone, I just think about that feeling I get when he gets home! I’m so lucky that Troy and I haven’t had to face any big deployments yet but this summer we will. Troy is leaving beginning of July. I get asked all the time if I’m scared or sad. We’ll I’m not! I’m so proud that Troy is able to do what he loves and I will gladly wait for him while he does. I can’t wait for the feeling you get on homecoming day and to make our own special memories.
Any who! back to Brandy! I instantly felt connected to Brandy after meeting her! and soon after that her daughter became a student at the Preschool I teach at. I absolutely adore this beautiful little girl! So of course I was soooo pleased and excited when they used me a second time to shoot their family photos! Be prepared to go gah gah over a gorgeous family
Without further a do ….

Nason Homecoming-Military Homecoming
December 5, 2009This past friday I had the amazing pleasure of photographing the Nason Family homecoming! When I first met Mary at her husbands squadron I knew that this was going to be a perfect day! She was so warm and seemed so in love and happy! Those are my favorite people to photograph, I love it when you can feel the love between a family! This was going to be her husbands first time meeting his son. He was now six months old! I can’t imagine how Mary does it! She looked beautiful and handled herself perfectly. She made being a mother and living this life look easy.
Anyways….
Congrats on having your husband home! I hope you don’t let him out of your sight for atleast a week
Congrats again on having your family reunited! It was an amazing day to be a part of!
sorry for the image overload! ha! I just fell in love with all of them! Enjoy!

November 23, 2009Liz looked absolutely stunning and Jose looked like a prince! They are the perfect couple and every picture I take of them makes me smile
November 10th was the 234th birthday of the Marine Corps! This is the one day out of the year we push aside all the annoyances of the military life and just stand proud next to our husbands. I am so proud of my husband and I know Liz is incredibly proud of Jose. Being married to such selfless men is the greatest feeling in the world.
Happy Birthday Marines! I am so happy to have you as a part of my life!
Liz is incredibly talented with hair and make-up, she did everything herself and looked amazing!
