If  any of my readers have met me than you know that I am a very outgoing person. I say the first thing that comes to mind no matter who I am talking to and I put my whole heart into everything. Including my business, I know sometimes it might not be best but I believe in building relationships with my clients. I believe that the more a person knows me the more comfortable they will be with me. Whether it be just a family session or your wedding.  Most of the time in the process of getting to know my clients, I make friends. That’s what happened with  Tana. I first met Tana back in October when I photographed her husband’s Afghanistan homecoming. Little did I know when she hired me that I would make a friend. Tana is one of the most true and genuine people I have ever met. She is so positive and optimistic no matter what the situation is.  So when I had the opprotunity to be the photographer for her family photos I was more than excited!

Thank you Tana for being a beautiful example of a military wife and setting the bar for all of us :)

Where do I even begin.

I just met Tana for the first time last week and I feel like I have known her for a lifetime. She is one of the sweetest, kindest and caring people I have ever met. Her happiness and love her for her life just radiates from her. I have never met a stronger women at such a young age.

I struggled with how I would write this post giving Tana the story she deserved.  I wanted you all to hear the story the way I did. Tana just booked me for this homecoming about a month ago and we became facebook friends a couple of months ago. I did not know her pregnant and I did not know her with Jesse. I just knew of her as Tana & Sawyer waiting patiently and positively for Jesse to come home.

I guess I should introduce Sawyer. He is her adorable 6.5 month old baby boy. She gave birth to him very soon after Jesse left. She learned to be a mother and have a deployed husband all at the same time. I can’t even imagine the stress of that. Seeing as my husband is deployed and that seems painful enough, but she handled it beautifully!

I quickly realized after meeting Tana “via facebook”  how positive she was about all this …and some how even by her words you could tell that it was true and there was nothing fake about it and it wasn’t a cover-up. She was really and truly this strong and positive women. I believe that is where her FAN CLUB came in.

Yes Tana has a fan club. Which is why I decided she needed a full page spread on the blog ! I mean how could she not have a fan club! Her posts could make anyone smile and we were all rooting for this day to finally come!

It was an amazing experience being a part of Tana’s Homecoming. Im so glad that she chose me to document it and Im so glad that her and Jesse and Sawyer can finally be a family.

Congrats Tana ,I can’t think of anyone who deserves that happiness more than you.

So here begins the story….

Its was a cold and rainy day but Tana & Sawyer were happier than ever! Look at those eyes! isnt he precious!

Its almost showtime!! The excitement begins!!!

Waiting to meet his daddy

Here they come!

I do believe he spotted his pretty girl!

I loved this! They were lifted Sawyer up to show his daddy! I don’t really know how you could contain yourself at that point! Staring at your beautiful baby boy you had never met not being able to just run and grab him!

Finally :) They let them go! and Tana & Jesse were reunited! oh my gosh! I Cried in this very moment!

And Finally he meets his baby boy

He was a natural at being a daddy! I Love how Tana is just gazing at the sight of the love of her life with their son in his hands. That has to be an amazing feeling.

That is one proud PAPA!

Tana was so at peace to have her family together.

I imagine Sawyer saying “So your my daddy huh,I think I like you” hahahha he is sooo precious!

I’d say Tana & Sawyer are pretty happy to have daddy home. Wouldnt you?

Liz & Jose are all over my website and here they are again! It was time to update the photos since he just got home from deployment. They are so easy to photograph and you can truly feel the love between them. Jose grew up playing baseball so I thought it would be fun to bring that into our shoot. Enjoy :)
